A Note from the Editor
We have been blown away with the positive feedback on our HAYDEN concept edition and it feels like there is a real need out in healthcare land for an alternative positive space for practitioners to feel valued and highlight the lives they have.
This edition shows how networking can lead to positive leads and how close were all are to one another. From a remark about a local conference, I came across Debs and Kate, so enthusiastic about representing the nurses in their primary care networks. Directing them on where to find out further information and keeping everyone on updates about daily changes. But to find out that they were proper equestrian riders and owned horses was the gem that bound them together also.
Then supporting a fledgling newly qualified I found that her initial mentor had travelled the world and was an avid book reader and a member of a book club. Stringing them both together was their training at Huddersfield Hospital.
I reached out to one of my own Nurse Practitioner student friends when I came across her name in a BBC article. Fran had opened her own funeral services business, and it was wonderful to speak with her again after so many years it was like being back in the classroom again, laughter all the way. Her dedication to ensuring that those who have passed and their families are supported around those final wishes is really to be commended.
The changes we are seeing in our healthcare landscape whether it be governmental, private, or business is like the sea rolling in and out. Everyday feels different and with not only policy but staff changing relentlessly, it is important to reflect on how we all react with change. Having a lifestyle that supports our inner sanctum is where we all need to be. I hope that HAYDEN Lifestyles can assist you on your journey to balance and contentment, both inside and outside of work.
Stop for a moment and think about the opportunities change could give you…….there you go…
