A Note From the Editor
Sowing the seeds of renewed Balance
Hi There
I know its been a while since we last connected, but I promise you it was worth the wait. Over the past few months, I’ve been quietly (and sometimes not so quietly!) building out the wider HAYDEN Lifestyles ecosystem, and it finally feels like the right moment to let you in on what’s been happening behind the scenes. What started as a simple idea about supporting nurses and midwives with more compassion and clarity has grown into something much bigger, more connected, and—honestly—more needed than ever.
The new HAYDEN Lifestyles Charter has been a real anchor throughout this process. It sets out the values we stand by: kindness, respect, evidence based care, and a genuine commitment to wellbeing for both patients and professionals. It’s become the centre of everything we’re creating.
There’re also a brand new podcast series and personal App on the way, where we’ll be talking openly about the realities of modern healthcare—what’s working, what isn’t, and how we can all protect our energy within the system while still showing up for the people who need us. Expect honest conversations, practical insights, and many laughs along the way.
Oh..and yes, I’ll say it plainly: Energy burnout is real. It’s something I’ve felt personally, and it’s helped to shape and inform this whole portfolio. HAYDEN isn’t about perfection; it’s about sustainability, humanity, and giving ourselves permission to breathe.
It’s been a whirlwind journey, but a meaningful one—and I can’t wait to share the next chapter with you and let you meet some of the wonderful people I have interviewed, and resources used along the way. In this edition -Balance we celebrate the seasonal change and reflect on how to achieve balance through connection.
Gina
