A Note from the Editor
Welcome one and all to the special concept edition of HAYDEN Lifestyles Magazine, so nice to introduce you to a specially created lifestyle magazine community, created by nurses for all my nursing and midwifery colleagues. The reality is that we are all in recovery mode whether you work in the NHS, work outside, or have your own nurse led business, and why do I know, because I’m a nurse too doing all of these.. My journey may be different to yours, but I have seen the real pain and anguish that some of you have been going through, sometimes without recognition of health challenges, or role appreciation.
So rather than just assume resilience is a given, I thought I would begin a networking space which supports our own. Just think about it, we are the ones giving advice to the nation every day, providing clinical support, or articulating medical knowledge in the business world, so why not look inwards and share our own insights. We have so many of the attributes from within our community.
Recognition was chosen as the first feature inspiration as I don’t know about you, but sometimes if feels like nurses are not fully recognised as people with every day or spectacular lives, let alone the professionals that contributed exponentially during the pandemic and beyond. The stories in our edition recognise nurses and midwives from all walks of life who worked tirelessly without choice and recognise their continuing contribution.
This magazine is for nurses and midwives and the goal is to support one another and recognise the contribution we all make to this wonderful profession. HAYDEN Lifestyles magazine SALUTES YOU and all that you have achieved both as a professional and as a very special person in the lives of others in this everchanging world. (Hugs)
